RAPID CURE PRIME COAT
RC-250
Cutback Bitumen RC-250 is a rapid-curing asphalt that complies with ASTM D2028-97 for pavement construction and treatment. It is produced by blending penetration-grade bitumen with solvents like kerosene, gasoline, or naphtha, controlling the curing time. Cutback asphalt contains 12-40% distillates, but due to high energy demands and air quality regulations, its usage has declined. RC-250 can contain up to 45% distillate and is mainly used for spraying and some mixing applications. Manufactured from vacuum residue, it exhibits thermoplastic properties, softening at high temperatures and hardening at lower ones, ensuring durability and strong adhesion.

Health & Safety
Cutback- RC250 is flammable, hence must be stored and protected from the source of ignition. It is advised to use proper PPEs while handling and application. Skin & Eyes: Avoid contact with skin & eyes, if occurs remove with cleaner and clean with soap & water. Inhalation: Don’t breathe fumes which may accumulate in the vapour head-space of containers, if occurs move immediately to fresh air and seek medical treatment.
