Bitumen Emulsion K1-40 is a cationic emulsion consisting of bitumen, water, and an emulsifying agent. It is produced by mechanically dispersing hot bitumen into water treated with an emulsifier, creating minute globules suspended in the continuous water phase. Additional additives like stabilizers, coating improvers, or break control agents may be included based on specifications. This emulsion is commonly used in road construction and maintenance, offering improved adhesion and performance.

HEALTH & SAFETY
Bitumen Emulsion K1-40 is flammable, hence must be stored and protected from the source of ignition. It is advised to use proper PPEs while handling and application. Skin & Eyes: Avoid contact with skin & eyes, if occurs remove with cleaner and clean with soap & water. Inhalation: Don’t breathe fumes which may accumulate in the vapour head-space of containers, if occurs move immediately to fresh air and seek medical treatment.
